Malaga Bank is a proud supporter of Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach and in the fall we hold our annual Cancer Awareness Week of fundraising. In 2021, we were pleased to present a check to CSCRB with collected donations from Malaga Bank’s customers and employees. Jasna Penich, Malaga’s EVP/CFO, and Sacha Ohara, SVP/Retail Banking Manager presented Joey Shanahan, CFRD Executive Director/CEO of CSCRB, and the staff from CSCRB with Malaga Bank’s Cancer Awareness Week donation of $5,724.00!
Sacha Ohara, Senior Vice President/Retail Banking Manager, (on the far right) is currently serving on the CSCRB’s Board of Directors and is committed to her support to help community members who didn’t choose this battle.
Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach, recently changed their name to Cancer Support Community South Bay to reflect their broader reach to include the entire South Bay, Long Beach, and Orange County. Their mission for over 34 years is to ensure all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. They offer over 200 programs, services, classes, and workshops per month, all completely free of charge.
