Julia Parton
Julia Parton is a native of the Palos Verdes Peninsula growing up in the local community neighborhoods. Prior to coming to Malaga Bank, Julia worked for a variety of local businesses with a passion for making a difference – whether it’s for her clients or the communities the bank serves. She is highly regarded in the community for her public service as a long-time member and currently serves on seven boards of directors: Torrance Police Foundation, Peninsula Seniors, Toberman Neighborhood Center (San Pedro), Switzer Learning Center, Palos Verdes Estates Foundation, Palos Verdes / Peninsula High School Athletic Booster Club, Palos Verdes Junior Women’s Club, and the Rotary Club of Palos Verdes Peninsula. “If I feel I can make a difference in our community by volunteering, count me in!”
Julia Parton, Honoree of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Citizen of the Year, has been connecting and giving back to the community since she was a teen. When she saw a need, she would step in to volunteer her time and expertise and has organized many fundraising efforts to provide assistance to so many in need.
What’s next for Julia? “I just want to keep going. There are a lot of challenges around us, and I want to help out as often as I can and as long as I can.”
Julia Parton is the third Malaga Bank employee to receive the Citizen of the Year Honor. This is a true testament of the bank’s strong community culture and involvement. There is no denying Malaga Bank is truly the “community’s bank!”
