Mark Smith, SVP/Business Banking, has been involved with the South Bay Police and Fire Memorial Foundation for over 16 years as a member of the Board of Directors and the director of financial oversight. The organization has been around for 25 years. In March they host one of their most popular fundraising events, the annual St. Patrick’s Day Golf Tournament.
The South Bay Police and Fire Memorial Foundation was created in June 1994 to fill a significant funding gap to aid families in need of assistance. The organization is dedicated to providing financial support for families of fallen or disabled police and fire personnel from the nine South Bay cities that have their own independent police and fire agencies. The Foundation has raised over $1,000,000 for families of officers injured or killed in the line of duty.
